SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN
TREASURE HUNTERS

THE FRED ELAINE SCHRADER 19th ANNUAL MEMORIAL HUNT
COIN SHOOT NUGGET HUNT
SPONSORED BY SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN TREASURE HUNTER'S

February 17, 2008 AT

City/County Park, Idaho Road & Hwy. 88, Apache Junction, AZ

* Note: This is a ‘rain or shine’ Hunt

Last years awards totaled nearly $20,000 in gold, coins and prizes, and this year’s prize list promises to be equally rich. There are detectors, dry washers, sluices and gold pans, headphones and digging tools and lots of other mining and detecting supplies and equipment along with lots of interesting books about gold mining and treasure hunting. There are gift certificates for dinners. The list is filled with many great items. Our Hunts are very rich with lots of silver and gold, and each hunt is a "Finders-Keepers-Adventure". One big day, 3 great hunts. Everyone has the potential to win the big prizes in the coin shoot since a beginner has the same chance as a pro to find buried tokens good for major prizes. There are also two exciting gold hunts with real gold nuggets buried. Due to the drastic rise in gold prices, we have had to increase entry fees for the advanced nugget hunt and the enhanced nugget hunt. IN ADDITION, THESE TWO HUNTS WILL REQUIRE ADVANCE REGISTRATION. ABSOLUTELY NO ENTRIES FOR THE ADVANCED OR ENHANCED HUNTS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON ‘HUNT DAY’. All the coins and nuggets you find are yours to keep, regardless of whether you win any other prizes.

This year we are holding the hunt at a nice level park inside the city. It is also in the shadow of the mysterious Superstition Mountains. There are many wonderful shops to browse and enjoy, There is limited dry camping at nearby OK Corral on a first come first serve basis. In addition, you can go to the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce Website to link to other RV Parks and Motels in the area. Call OK Corral at 480-982-4040 for reservations. Be sure to identify yourself as a Hunt contestant to them.

Other Activities

Nothing can surpass the adventure of Historic Apache Trail in beauty and variety. You can "Do the Trail" in a day, or just do a part of it. The Mountain's beauty and mystery will be with you wherever you go. The Boyce Arboretum is just up the road (Hwy. 60) towards Superior. The area is constantly growing, and you’ll be sure to find a place you haven’t visited before.

Hunt registration forms, rules and schedules are available online to be downloaded and filled out for mailing in. We will start accepting hunt signups on December 1, 2007. Be sure to get your registration and fees in early to take advantage of the ‘Early Bird’ fees. Cut off date is February 02, 2008 for early discount rates.

REMINDER: ENTRIES FOR THE ENHANCED AND ADVANCED NUGGET HUNTS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 02, 2008. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THESE TWO HUNTS ON ‘HUNT DAY’

To register, just, fill out the forms, sign where indicated and mail them in, along with your check to cover the entry fees. Mail entries to:
